This year Chepkinoiyo Primary School has made wonderful progress which we are very proud to share. The community has not only been working on the project that we are funding but has also worked to begin new projects of their own such as a new upper school classroom block. Here is an update from Professor Adam Chepkwony at the close of the 2015 school year:
"We went to close the school last week and had a wonderful time. We opened three new classroom we constructed for use next term. We also graduated twenty pupils from nursery to class one - this was commendable. The entire population for the nursery was fifty one and this can only be attributed to the new classrooms you assisted to construct. The electrification of Chepkinoiyo is almost complete. We have done everything necessary including the wiring of the classrooms ( see pictures). The only remaining work is for the power company to connect power from the pole."
We are very excited by this progress at Chepkinoiyo primary school and glad to see the positive ways in which it is impacting on the community as a whole. It is pleasing to know that our efforts have encouraged and enabled greater numbers of children to attend the local primary school and receive an education. Thank you for supporting the Power Project and the families of Chepkinoiyo, Kenya.
